Steeped in the roots traditions of American folk, rock, country, blues, and jazz, Allen Finney emerges with unique expressions in his own musical style. Some compare his voice and vision to J.J. Cale's and Bob Dylan's.
Hot Live Tracks! Allen Finney and Eric's Bluesband
at the Järfälla Jazz & Blues Festival, September 29, 2007

See Allen and EBB on a video of "I got a woman"

Check out Sven Zetterberg's new CD, Hollerin' Up a Storm, for some great songs and harmonica playing. Sven wrote all the songs except for one, which Allen wrote, called "Ain't no hurry to go home." Allen served as lyrical consultant also, and you can tell that Allen and Sven are kindred spirits. A really enjoyable CD! In Sweden, you can order it from www.cdon.com or www.ginza.se. You can order outside of Europe, if you have a PayPal account, by writing to Smokestack Blues, who send internationally.

Allen Finney and EBB

Allen's previous CD Laying My Monkey Down, with Fat City Blues, was the first to feature only his original songs. Now he returns with an all-acoustic set, Allen Finney and EBB, showcasing his more recent material. Eric's Bluesband accompanies him unplugged with a fresh, immediate sound.
